Amazing location close to the malecon. The rooms are very basic but serviceable. The beds are hard, which I don't mind. I've stayed here a couple of times. There was hot water both times, but it wasn't quick to arrive at the shower head. The rooms were clean, though the concrete was a bit stained in places creating the illusion that it wasn't as clean as it was. Your enjoyment of this place would depend on which kind of traveller you are. For the backpacker with low expectations and a small budget it would be brilliant. For the one or two week fly in vacationer it would not be acceptable. For me it was just fine. Parking is on the street. In La Paz, like much of Mexico, you need to park in the spots with white paint to avoid getting a ticket. This is a busy area of town but after 6pm most nights it isn't too hard to find parking. There is also secure pay parking within a couple of blocks.
Honesty, I think this hotel is very good for a budget traveller. For this price, this location, with this accommodation, in La Paz, you cannot ask for more. Staff is really good, everyone work hard and always smiles to me, they try to clean a room for me as fast as they can even I arrived too early and I didn't book online. Clean, green, lots of plants, sunshine, private room with toilet and hot shower, very very good WiFi, smile from friendly staff, I think I got more than I paid.
Honestly I don't understand the bad reviews. They rates are very affordable and for the price you get a private room incl. bathroom, towels, sheets, hot water, wifi and a very good location really close to the coastline. The staff is really nice and offers service 24/7. Yes a new paint would be nice but you cannot expect fancy for a very low price. I would come back anytime!
